Arkansas Museum Network
The Race for Planet X
Produced for the 7 members of the statewide Arkansas Discovery Network, this 40' exhibit vehicle represents the state-of-the-art in mobile museum outreach. The interior resembles an immersive "space ship," where visitors can explore the mysterious "Planet X" using robots, lasers, sensors and various other unique gadgets. The integrated exhibit stations are designed to enrich the STEM curriculum for 6th-8th graders in "group mode," and function as a traveling exhibition in a free-exploration "public mode." This vehicle profile can hold up to 35 simultaneous visitors and a dozen full-scale, heavy-duty interactives. It can set-up and tear-down in under 12 minutes and has fully-autonomous HVAC and electrical systems, so it can go literally anywhere there is pavement. Completed in January 2007
